The stunning design of this award winning building is set to change the way we think about library spaces. Stewart Hollenstein’s inventive design for an underground library has created a beautiful space to imagine, read and work.
The first thing you’ll see is the impressive glass pyramid emerging above the plaza. The entry pavilion, incorporating the café, leads you down into the main library space. Glorious was chosen to complement this space providing functionality as well adding a dramatic flair. Legible geometries of triangles, circles, squares and trapeziums are found throughout the library and within the plaza. Glorious striking circular shape and clean lines made it the perfect fit. Careful consideration was taken of placement and mounting heights in order to create design equally intriguing from the inside as the outside.
