Matt’s passion for design and technology began early in life with an apprenticeship in the electrical trade prior to studying Business and Marketing. A lifelong appreciation for great architecture and design led to the ultimate light bulb moment when Matt combined his two passions to launch Light Project. As CEO, Matt's approachable, knowledgeable and down-to-earth personality has seen Light Project grow into an award-winning lighting supply specialist, servicing the design and construction industries of Australia and beyond.

Mark is a Chartered Accountant with an Executive MBA under his belt and has held many senior management roles focused on operations, finance and strategy across a range of industries from start-up, to small business, corporates and multinationals. With a background in management consulting and business advisory, Mark values innovative solutions and brings invaluable experience and an infectious energy to the Light Project team.
Head of Sales & Marketing
A self-confessed lighting nerd, Andrew’s career in the industry began over 16 years ago in South Africa, journeyed through the UK and in 2010 brought him to Australia with a wealth of international experience. He has completed his studies in exterior lighting, has a Senior Executive MBA and is currently a Member and Director of The Lighting Society. He is an inspired leader with a clear vision and strong focus on collaborating, motivating and empowering our team.
Regional Manager VIC/SA/TAS/WA
A registered architect by trade, Tom has an enthusiasm for problem solving and detailed design, and a passion for creating drama through lighting. He believes a great lighting solution comes from a collaborative and multi-disciplinary approach, where the partnership between lighting consultant and designer starts at early concept design and continues through to on-site construction and resolution. Tasmanian born and proud – a family man whose children are his pride and joy, with Light Project a close second.
Senior Technical Sales VIC
No stranger to the lighting world, Laurie first started her career in the UK within the entertainment and theatrical industries. For over 10 years, she has gained invaluable technical knowledge whilst building strong sales and marketing acumen. With a keen eye for detail and design, it was only natural that she moved into architectural lighting where her strengths lie in relationship building, problem solving and technical support. Born in France, raised in the UK, and now a proud Melburnian.

A creative and organised perfectionist with a well-rounded excitement for all things design. After completing an ADID (Advanced Diploma of Interior Design) in 2006, David became fascinated by the medium of light. A decade later David has gained vast experience and knowledge to help him strive in delivering a high level of customer service. With an eye for detail across all projects he is constantly developing fresh innovative ideas and unique ways of applying light within a space.

Angelo has spent his career providing clients with tailored solutions for their needs across a broad range of industries. He transitioned into his passion for lighting and design five years ago after having studied product design. He collaborates closely with clients - including architects, builders and designers - to provide solutions, product and design knowledge. He also ensures the production and delivery for project solutions meet the required timelines.

Danah Joined Light Project in 2018. Previously working with a lighting manufacturer she found a passion for the technical characteristics of luminaries. A self-confessed lighting geek, Danah embraces project challenges and finds excitement in creative solutions. Recently completing the IES (Illuminating Engineers Society) lighting course and an active member of the IES, Light Project is excited to have her strengthen our team.

Having studied political science, Matteo joined his families lighting design business where he gained a broad knowledge of the international lighting project market. He worked in close collaboration with design consultants, lighting manufacturers and clients to complete many successful projects.

Tash believes fun is not just for kids! A recent addition to Light Project; Tash was born into the lighting industry, coming from a family of Electricians in New Zealand. Leaving New Zealand in 2015 to embrace new challenges, she has found herself cutting her tech teeth working alongside luminaire manufacturers. Now after completing the IES (Illuminating Engineers Society) lighting course, and an active member of the IES, Light Project has found her passion. A great listener and consultative personality Tash truly believes the best outcomes come from talking things out which compliments the Light Project ethos perfectly.

Gemma’s ‘mild’ obsession with light has landed her a career in bridging the gap between the design and technical world of lighting. She works collaboratively with clients on all parts of the project; wearing many hats to ensure the initial design intent is supported with the most appropriate selection of products. Having worked as a commercial interior designer she understands the language of space, form, colour and materiality. She now brings her creativity, technical understanding and passion for lighting to provide the best experience for her clients and the end user.
Electrical Engineer and Lighting Engineer with over 10 year's experience in Australia. Trevor has a unique ability to design lighting solutions that meet the high standards set by our clients, bringing an invaluable service to our sales team. With his advanced problem solving skills and strong passion to the lighting industry he is an invaluable addition to the team.
Brings four years of specialist lighting experience and thirteen years of experience within the construction industry. Anne’s expertise in creating human-centric illumination schemes is a breath of fresh air for clients seeking to create an experience that is impactful and engaging, whilst mindful of comfort and compliance. She has a passion for the psychological aspects of lighting and how it can be utilised as a tool to change our perceptions of what built spaces can be.
Senior Project Manager
Michael (“Seven”) Sevenyhazi is trusted by Light Project to work on and deliver high-profile projects across Australia. Working alongside our major clients, he is able to execute a smooth and efficient outcome for all. Based in our Melbourne Office, Michael is incredibly well organised; liaising directly with designers, clients, contractors and suppliers to ensure the thorough and professional completion of each project. Michael’s process management is exceptional – you will feel comfortable in knowing that he is looking after your project.
Based in Light Project's Melbourne office, Michael works with clients across NSW and QLD on some of Light Project's most superior projects. Michael is a master facilitator, liaising with designers, clients, contractors and suppliers to ensure the smooth execution and completion of each project from design through to supply. With his enthusiastic and meticulous approach, Michael's relationship building and client management is second to none.
Customer Service Supervisor
Georgia is a valued member of the internal quotes team. She has a background in administration, sales support and front of house experience; including working for a bathroom and kitchen business. Georgia is eager to learn as much as she can about lighting to ensure her work is accurate. She supports the sales team from both Victoria and Western Australia.
An experienced Accounts Officer with over 10 years’ experience across the import/ distribution, technology, start-up and not-for-profit sectors. Nicola had an early career as an IT business analyst with international experience before taking time out to care for her two sons. During the break, she studied an accounting diploma which better suited her love for numbers. With a strong interest in architecture, Light Project is a natural fit.
