How to create luxury and warmth using interior design and lighting? Electrolight was engaged by BGC to undertake the lighting design for The Westin, Perth; where applied integrated layers of light softly capture and enhance the materiality, textures and geometries of the architectural and interior design. Concealed light sources enable emphasis to be placed on the lighting effects. “This often allows architectural forms and materials to be revealed, in sometimes unexpected ways,” says Electrolight’s Jess Perry and Alison Loader. “We tried to identify and capture every opportunity within architectural details to create small, unique moments of experience, that collectively add to a unique sense of identity to the project as a whole,” he says.
