Foreshore House
Sydney
BRIEF
Turn an outdated 1970s government building into a vibrant and contemporary collaborative work environment.
Sydney’s historic Foreshore House has been transformed into a flexible and state-of-the-art work environment. Project engineers Northrop, and architecture studio dwp, stripped back the 70s brutalist building to return it to the area’s heritage. Their aim was to showcase the surrounding and iconic The Rocks. Originally filled with small offices and tiny tea rooms, the building has been converted into a place where people can work together. Light Project designed a warm interior, highlighting natural and neutral tones. Custom LED wall lights were installed along the corridor to unite floors visually and enhance wayfinding.
