2020 BOSS Young Executive of the Year
Light Project’s Chief Operating Officer, Mark Sacco, has been named by the Australian Financial Review as one of six 2020 BOSS Young Executives of the Year for his achievements and competencies in business and leadership.
The AFR’s BOSS Young Executives program recognises outstanding executives across Australia who have demonstrated leadership in the community as well as in business, and who have a strong track record in people and thought leadership. Mark was awarded after undertaking a ‘day in the life of a CEO’ simulation. The simulation, conducted by global human resource firm DDI, required Mark to act as Group President of a fictional global AI company turning over $28 billion annually, taking on a series of demanding challenges designed to test his corporate resilience and competencies as a Chief Executive. Matt Hicks, CEO and founder of Light Project, said “It was no surprise that Mark was amongst the winners. Mark has implemented processes and structure that support our growth whilst learning the business of lighting."
Mark champions Light Project and our people, he is a dynamic leader enthusiastic for a challenge, extremely organised, approachable and consistent in his manner. He has proven to be an invaluable addition to the Light Project team.
